Surgical Specialties
Dr. Faulkenberry excels in advanced laparoscopic surgery including antiflux surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery and performs surgeries for thyroid and parathyroid disease, breast diseases, advanced hernia repair and cancer of the digestive tract.

Dr. Faulkenberry performs gastric banding (Lap-Band and Realize Band),  gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, StomaphyX, and revision procedures for the treatment of chronic obesity.


Education and Professional Associations
Dr. Faulkenberry received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, and the Surgical Society of Austin. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Dr. Faulkenberry is the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery for St. David's Medical Center.


Biography
A native Texan, Dr. Faulkenberry has lived in Austin for more than 20 years. He enjoys hunting and is an avid youth sports enthusiast and coach.
